Shuffling through the routine of daily life is both exhausting and rewarding. I find one of the greatest pleasures is to slow down the clock and really enjoy each minute when possible. Our world of convenience has both its drawbacks and rewards and the only time I can really map out the details to embed quality time is by taking a breath and counting the blessings. Each of us can carve out at least five minutes to be present and live in the moment. I find using an App or watching a video for calming can be extremely helpful and there is so much out there now! All of us, especially women tend to put others first and don’t put the time in for ourselves and that is so important. If you follow a schedule or even are more spontaneous with your time, you can always work in ‘me’ time to recenter and focus on your well-being. Whether it be exercise, reading, meditation, or short trips just to get away, I always try to weave in time for myself into my daily schedule. This brings me to my final, featured getaway destination. My goal was to pique interest and showcase places that can bring you joy and happiness. I encourage you to explore, step outside your comfort zone and take the leap whether it be somewhere in your own city or the far reaches of the world. Happy and safe traveling, my friends.

Our last stop is the picturesque and charming country, Italy, known as “the boot.” This Mediterranean destination has so much to offer – food, fashion, art, canals, ruins and cathedrals. Its capital city of Rome offers guided tours through the Colosseum, Vatican museums (St. Peter’s Basilica, Sistine Chapel, Piazza San Pietro) and Palatine Hill. Or maybe spend a day shopping in Milan or perhaps taking in the sites of Florence at Boboli Gardens. Partaking in the gentle waves of Venice lagoons rowed by bespoke Gondoliers, or even visiting Chioggia, Venice’s “little sister” with your favorite human. Possibly a tour of Southern Italy and Sicily for bounties of fresh food and drink. Take a 30-minute hike to the top of Mount Vesuvius or you may be tired of exploring by land, so let’s set sail off the Almalfi Coast for adventure with stops in some of the most secluded and treasured coves, including the small town of Positano. I hope you have enjoyed all the stops and vow to take your own awe-inspiring expedition learning about different regions, their people and gifts, as there is much to see and do.

Your journey is just beginning ..
